Qualifications: MBChB (Cum Laude), University of Pretoria; Diploma in Mental Health (Foundation of Professional Development); Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology in Clinical Practice (University of South Wales).
Welcome! I’m Dr Mia Fischer, a general practitioner in Nieuw Muckleneuk who is passionate about providing personalised, comprehensive care to my patients. I genuinely love my job and strive to create a warm and inviting environment for my patients.
I believe that true health goes beyond merely avoiding illness—it’s about thriving! I have a special interest in mental health as I believe it is undervalued in our society.

Frequently Asked Questions
30 minutes for every in-person consultation. We believe this allows Dr Fischer enough time to assess and diagnose each patient properly. However, some conditions or complaints might warrant more time. If you feel that you may need more time, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
No, this is part of the initial consultation fee.
We will send your account to your medical aid. For Discovery patients, we charge their medical aid rate. For all other medical aids, we charge a fixed consult fee. The patient will be responsible for any shortfall not covered by the medical aid. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our rates.
Yes. She is well equipped to do small procedures. Kindly let us know when you book so we can plan our diary accordingly.
Feel free to reach out via WhatsApp or email so we can confirm if it is appropriate for a telephonic consultation. Please note that if Dr Fischer feels you need to be seen in person, she can stop the telephonic consult at any time and you will still be liable for the consult fee.
